When these style photos were taken it was probably the coldest day I’ve experienced all winter. Even more so than days where there was a decent amount of snow on the ground. So I had to be fast… and on top of it being super cold… it was misting rain. Not the best for hair and makeup. But I love low-light photography situations. And the mist outside was thick and very appropriate for a cemetery scene. I felt like it was almost movie like in it’s visual appeal. You had to be there to really see it though. So pretty.

Ever since I was a child the idea of going to cemetery was always an appealing experience for me. It was a moment I had to reflect on my mortality. They come off to me as quiet and safe. Almost like a place I’d want to be to sit and get a drawing done or even just think without the world knowing where I am. Wintergreen has always been sort of a zen place for me to be. It makes me think of my childhood. And it allows me to to reflect… which is most important to me.
